Espresso Essential coffee system launched by Australian and New Zealand founders

International distribution of Espresso Essential coffee commenced in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Espresso Essential becomes one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest coffee machine and consumable distributors.

Espresso Essential first recognised in the BRW Fastest Growing Franchise — “BRW Fast 100 Awards”

Espresso Essential recognised in the BRW Fastest Growing Franchise — “BRW Fast 100 Awards” for the second year.

Espresso Essential recognised in the BRW Fastest Growing Franchise — “BRW Fast 100 Awards” for the third, fourth and fifth years consecutively.

Espresso Brands Group’s three main beverage lines of Automatic Coffee, Barista Coffee and Slush relaunched as the “I Luv…” range. Expands with full Barista range from French supplier Reneka. Expands into Singapore, Philippines and Papua New Guinea

Builds state of the art air Roaster with larger capacity to roast premium coffee blends for distribution nationally and internationally.

Implements new systems to enhance customer management and provide excellence in customer service

The group is acquired by a private consortium of Australians and New Zealanders headed by its CEO and a new executive team. The business is renamed Essential Coffee Group with banner brand Essential Coffee. Acquires Essential Brands Victoria and Advanced Coffee Solutions New South Wales. The South Australian Master Franchise agreement is terminated and Essential Coffee works directly with its locally based South Australian distributors and customers. Expands into the Middle East

Acquires Espresso Essential Western Australia, Essential Brands Group Townsville and the South Coast New South Wales business Coffee in Moments and supports their customers directly. International Network Conference held in Singapore to drive export opportunities. Invests in growth and expansion of Essential Coffee New Zealand.

Essential Coffee’s Reneka range is expanded by launching new Reneka Latte Art Technology.

Atomic, the smoothest of Essential Coffee’s dark roasts, is awarded a Bronze Medal in the Milk Based Espresso category at the Golden Bean Awards Austalia/New Zealand 2019, the world’s largest coffee roasting competition. 

Sponsorship agreement between Essential Coffee and multi-year national surf lifesaving champions, BMD Northcliffe Surf Life Saving Club.

Industrial compostable coffee cups are introduced.

New Italian handmade and designed La Roccia and Piccolo Roccia ranges are introduced to Essential Coffee’s barista coffee machine range.

Compostable slush cups replace plastic slush cups.

Sponsorship agreement between Essential Coffee and  professional Rugby League Club, Burleigh Bears is re-signed.

Home compostable coffee cups are introduced to conform to AS5810 home compostable standards and align with Essential Coffee’s environmental ethos. These Aqueous cups are made using a uniue water-based dispersion coating, which reduces the amount of material needed while providing the same leak and grease-proof benefits as other coatings.

Our Signature, Vintage and Roaster’s Choice coffee blends were all Bronze Medalists in the Milk Based category, at the 2023 Golden Bean Awards Australasia! 

Sponsorship agreement between Essential Coffee and Sydney Roosters NRL Rugby League Team is renewed.

Our newest coffee blend in our range, EC Hondo, made it’s remarkable debut by winning three Bronze Medals at the largest coffee roasting competiton, the Golden Bean Awards. This blend has origins in Ethiopia, Colombia and Honduras, and offers a light, crisp, fruity and refreshing experince.
